Here Is How We Improve Your CREDIT SCORE and how you’re going to be a part of the process! The credit system is flawed and most reports have errors well you have rights too and we know how to use them to your benefit. The fair credit reporting act gives you the right to dispute any negative thing on your credit. So we write letters on your behalf to the bureaus about all those items and we write a lot of letters! The bureaus have 30 days to verify each item that we dispute and if they can’t prove it, they must remove it from your credit report.
Letters to Repair Your Credit
In each letter that we write to the bureaus we will state the item which is being disputed and ask the bureaus to remove the error in order to help repair your credit and increase your FICO score. We will enclose a copy of your credit report, highlighting the questionable items so the bureaus can investigate and respond promptly. The bureaus have 30 days to respond to the dispute. If they do not respond we will send another letter making them aware of the legal action you can take if they do not remove the error. This process is repeated until all negative items effecting your score are removed or until you are satisfied. We may also have to write letters to the creditors and bureaus for appeals, validation requests and goodwill interventions.
Know Your Rights
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) was enacted to promote the accurate, fair, and private distribution of consumer information contained in the files of the credit reporting agencies.
The following is a list of your rights under the FCRA:
-You must be made aware if information in your file has been used to deny you a line of credit
- You have the right to see what information is in your report
- You have the right to request a credit score.
-You have the right to contest errors or wrong information.
-Credit reporting agencies are required to fix or delete information that is incorrect.
One Free Report Each Year
You are entitled to see one free credit report a year from each of the consumer reporting agencies under the FCRA.
How Long Negative Information Can Remain on Your Consumer ReportNegative information appears on your consumer report when you fail to make a payment on time, have a public record or default on a financial obligation. The FCRA limits how long this information can stay on your report. The limit for late payments, tax liens, foreclosures, and foreclosures and chapter 13 bankruptcy is 7 years.
